Careers and future choices

All our students are entitled to:

  • Information about qualifications and opportunities linked to their next stages in life that are accessible based on their individual needs
  • Opportunities to meet with and experience the work of local businesses, colleges and training providers.
  • Open discussions about their next steps with other young people, families, transition social workers, school staff, independent careers advisers, identified professionals working with the young person and any other people identified by the young person 
  • Support to apply for places at another provider (college or university) by the independent careers adviser or an identified member of school staff 
  • Support to apply for employment, apprenticeships or training courses by the independent careers adviser or an identified member of school staff.

All our students have access to:

  • Provider information shared on the weekly newsletter and on social media
  • Support with interviews and interview preparation
  • Transition support (tailored to individual pupil and family needs)
