Our base provides an excellent education which crosses between mainstream and specialist. The students benefit from specialist teaching within the base,  access to inclusion lessons within the mainstream school as well as supported access to social situations with their mainstream peers.

At our base each student follows a broad curriculum initially in our separate base classrooms. They then make choices in Key Stage 4 and above to specialise in some subjects. All students have English, mathematics and personal, social and health education within the base and any other subjects where they are not accessing inclusion. Access to inclusion lessons within the mainstream school is based upon the skills and interests of each of our students. Our students are supported by our Dorothy Goodman staff in these lessons so that the adaptations and help provided are suitable for each individual. Additional preparation and practising of work for any inclusion subjects also takes place back in our separate base classrooms.
